Serving the Local Community

What being a Lions Member or Lions Volunteer looks like

Highworth & District Lions are part of an international volunteer organisation, supporting both local communities and people across the globe. There are two ways to get involved: become a full member, or join as an occasional volunteer to help at events or in our charity shop.

As a full Lions member, you will join a friendly, diverse group committed to making a difference. You can take part in community projects, organise fundraising activities, and champion local causes to secure Lions grants – all while connecting with new people and local organisations. You may also choose to draw on your existing skills to take on extra responsibilities, such as acting as Treasurer, Youth and Service Leader, Website Coordinator, or one of many other roles.

As a Lions volunteer, you can help at events such as Christmas and May Day, drive the community minibus or van, or join our friendly team at the charity shop. You can volunteer as often as suits you – every pair of hands makes a difference.
