Barra Close Play Park
Community SupportThe Highworth and District Lions contribute to redevelopment of the Barra Close Play Park site and together with the Wrde Up Committee, sponsor purchase and placement of Benches to enhance the site.
Today the Highworth Town Council announced that the redevelopment of the Barra Close Play Park is complete, with an official opening event to take place in the Spring of 2026.
The Town council headed up by Mayor, Julie Murphy worked tirelessly to bring this community space to life. A major funding for the project came from the National Lottery along with local contributions from the Royal British Legion and the Highworth and District Lions.
As a further enhancement to the site, benches were sponsored by the Highworth and District Lions and the Wrde Up committee.
