Proud moment for our community!

Highworth Lions members Hilary and Sue joined Highworth Mayor Julie at Highworth Cemetery on Cricklade Road to celebrate the installation of another new community defibrillator, generously funded by the Highworth and District Lions.

This is 24-hour public-access defibrillator, paid for by funds from the Lions Charity shop and installed with the help of the town council.

The unit is registered with the South Western Ambulance Service — in an emergency, callers to 999 will be directed to it and given the access code.

We hope it is never needed. But if it is, it could save a life within minutes.
