May Day Tombola

The May Day Tombola is a much-loved and long-standing fixture in the Highworth calendar, eagerly anticipated by residents and visitors alike each year. It brings people together in a spirit of fun and community, while also raising vital funds for local good causes.

Alongside this popular event, we organise and run a wide range of activities throughout the year — including street collections, sponsored challenges, lively community fairs, and enjoyable charity dinners.

Every single penny raised from these initiatives goes directly towards supporting charitable projects, helping those in need right here in our local area. Nothing is held back for administration or overheads, so every contribution from our supporters translates into real, practical help and positive change for people across Highworth and the surrounding villages.

Christmas Light switch on, Lions stand and Sleigh

Each Christmas, the Highworth Lions bring wonderful festive cheer to our community with everyone’s favourite Santa and his beautifully decorated sleigh, touring local streets so children and families can wave, say hello, and make a donation if they wish.

We also set up a special fundraising stand right in the heart of Highworth town centre – here you can meet Santa in person, enjoy seasonal refreshments, pick up small festive treats, and find out more about the vital local projects we support throughout the year.

Every penny raised goes directly towards helping people in need across our area, making this such a special way to share the spirit of giving this festive season.
